How to trust in God

Psalm 62:9-11

9 Surely the lowborn are but a breath,
    the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
    together they are only a breath.

10 Do not trust in extortion
    or put vain hope in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
    do not set your heart on them.

11 One thing God has spoken,
    two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you,

Psalm 78:4-7

4 We will not hide them from their descendants;
    we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
    his power, and the wonders he has done.

5 He decreed statutes for Jacob
    and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our ancestors
    to teach their children,

6 so the next generation would know them,
    even the children yet to be born,
    and they in turn would tell their children.

7 Then they would put their trust in God
    and would not forget his deeds
    but would keep his commands.

we learn the following from the above verses

1) Though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them and trust God for everything.

2) we should tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
    his power, and the wonders he has done so that they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands
