Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us

Rom 8:18

¹⁸ I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

2 Cor 4:17

¹⁶ Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

¹³ But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. ¹⁴ If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 

1 Pet 5:1

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: ² Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; ³ not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  Our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us

2)  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

3)  But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

4)  When we lead a life that God wants us to lead as examples for others, we will see glory revealed in us.

5)  When we partake in Christ sufferings, we will also share in the glory to be revealed

We learn the following from the above verses

1)   In Christ Jesus we are all children of God through faith

2)   God sent His son so that we might receive adoption to sonship

3)    In love ⁵ God predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will

      4) Those that are victorious will get water from the spring of the water of life, and we will be God’s children.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)   There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

2)   Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

3)   Christ Jesus who died, was raised to life is at the right hand of God interceding for us, so no one can condemn us

1)   God makes our carts overflow with abundance

2)   But these are written that we may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing we may have life in His name

3)   We will have life in Jesus
