The one whom God commends will be approved

The one whom God commends will be approved

2 Cor 10:18

18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

Gal 1:10

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

1 The 2:4

On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

1 Pet 3:4

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  The one whom God commends is approved
2)  If we were still trying to please people, we would not be a servant of Christ.
3)  We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
4)  The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
