Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you that you may be children of your Father in heaven

Mt 5:44

44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven.

Lk 6:28

27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Rom 12:14

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

1 Pet 3:9

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult.On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

 We learn the following from the above verses

1)     Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you that you may be children of your Father in heaven

2)    Love your enemies; do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.


3)    Bless those persecute you; bless and do not curse


4)    Repaying evil with blessing helps us inherit the blessing.

We will be a people blessed by the Lord with our children

We will be a people blessed by the Lord with our children

Isa 65:23

17 “See, I will create
    new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
    nor will they come to mind.

23 They will not labor in vain,
    nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the Lord,
    they and their descendants with them.

Jer 4:2

“If you, Israel, will return,
    then return to me,”
declares the Lord.
“If you put your detestable idols out of my sight
    and no longer go astray,

and if in a truthful, just and righteous way
    you swear, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’
then the nations will invoke blessings by him
    and in him they will boast.”

Jer 31:23

23 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity,[c] the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The Lord bless you, you prosperous city, you sacred mountain.’ 

Hag 2:19

19 Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit.
“‘From this day on I will bless you.’”

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    We will be a people blessed by the Lord with our children

2)    If we return to the Lord in a truthful, just and righteous way then the nations will invoke blessing by Him and in Him they will boast

3)    The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “When I bring them back from captivity,[c] the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘The Lord bless you, you prosperous city, you sacred mountain.’


4)    From this day on God will bless you.

The Lord called Abraham when he was only one man and made him many

Isa 51:2

“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness
    and who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were cut
    and to the quarry from which you were hewn;

look to Abraham, your father,
    and to Sarah, who gave you birth.
When I called him he was only one man,
    and I blessed him and made him many.

Isa 19:25

25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.

Pro 5:18

18 May your fountain be blessed,
    and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.

Pro 22:9

The generous will themselves be blessed,
    for they share their food with the poor.
