Promise
comes by faith, so that it may be guaranteed by grace
Rom
4:16
16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by
grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the
law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
Rom
3:28
28 For we maintain that a person is justified by
faith apart from the works of the law.
Rom
15:8
8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[b] on behalf of God’s truth, so
that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed 9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:
“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
I will sing the praises of your name.”
I will sing the praises of your name.”
Luke
3:8
8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do
not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these
stones God can raise up children for Abraham.
Gal
3:16
16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning
many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.
