We brought
nothing in to the world and we can take nothing out of it
1 Tim 6:7
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take
nothing out of it.
Job 1:21
20 At
this, Job got up and tore his robe and
shaved his head. Then
he fell to the ground in worship 21 and
said:
“Naked
I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.[c]
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”
and naked I will depart.[c]
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”
22 In all this, Job did
not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
Psalm 49:17
16 Do
not be overawed when others grow rich,
when the splendor of their houses increases;
17 for they will take nothing with them when they die,
their splendor will not descend with them.
when the splendor of their houses increases;
17 for they will take nothing with them when they die,
their splendor will not descend with them.
18 Though
while they live they count themselves blessed—
and people praise you when you prosper—
19 they will join those who have gone before them,
who will never again see the light of life.
and people praise you when you prosper—
19 they will join those who have gone before them,
who will never again see the light of life.
20 People
who have wealth but lack understanding
are like the beasts that perish.
are like the beasts that perish.
Ecc 5:15
15 Everyone
comes naked from their mother’s womb,
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands.
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands.
16 This too is a
grievous evil:
As
everyone comes, so they depart,
and what do they gain,
since they toil for the wind?
17 All their days they eat in darkness,
with great frustration, affliction and anger.
and what do they gain,
since they toil for the wind?
17 All their days they eat in darkness,
with great frustration, affliction and anger.
We learn the
following from the above verses
1) We brought nothing in to the world
and we can take nothing out of it
2) Do not
be overawed when others grow rich,
when the splendor of their houses increases;
for they will take nothing with them when they die,
their splendor will not descend with them.
when the splendor of their houses increases;
for they will take nothing with them when they die,
their splendor will not descend with them.
3) People
who have wealth but lack understanding
are like the beasts that perish.
are like the beasts that perish.
and as everyone comes, so they depart.
They take nothing from their toil
that they can carry in their hands.
