Godliness with contentment is great gain

1 Tim 6:6

But Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Php 4:11

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Heb 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”[a]
So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?”[b]

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    But Godliness with contentment is great gain.

2)    Paul learnt to be in content in all circumstances

3)    We can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us

4)    Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said
“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”


5)    “The Lord is our helper; we will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to us?”
