Training us to
be Godly
1 Tim 4:7
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather,
train yourself to be godly.
1 Ti 2:2
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we
may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and
holiness.
1 Tim 3:16
16 Beyond
all question, the mystery from
which true godliness springs
is great:
He
appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,[d]
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.
was vindicated by the Spirit,[d]
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.
We learn the
following from the above verses
1) Have
nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather,
train yourself to be godly.
2) Petitions, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving made for every one helps them live a quiet life in all Godliness.
3) The true Godliness springs from our Lord Jesus
Christ
