Training to be Godly (Continued)
1 Tim 6:3,
5, 6, 11
6 But godliness with contentment is great
gain.
10 For the love of money is
a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from
the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
2 Tim 3:5
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful,
proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control,
brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers
of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but
denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Tit 1:1
Paul, a servant of God and an
apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their
knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2 in the hope of eternal life
