Godliness holds promise for both present life and life to come

1 Tim 4:8

 ⁸ For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Psalm 37:9, 11

⁹ For those who are evil will be destroyed,
    but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

¹¹ But the meek will inherit the land
    and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Pro 22:4

⁴ Humility is the fear of the Lord;
    its wages are riches and honor and life.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

2)    Those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

3)    The meek will inherit the land
    and enjoy peace and prosperity.

4)    Humility is the fear of the Lord;
    its wages are riches and honor and life.
