Praying so that the name of Lord may be glorified in us

2 The 1:12

¹² We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.^[c]

Isa 24:15

¹⁵ Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord;
    exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel,
    in the islands of the sea.

¹⁶ From the ends of the earth we hear singing:
    “Glory to the Righteous One.”

Php 2:9-11

 ⁹ Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,

¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

¹¹ and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    Praying so that the name of Lord may be glorified in us

2)    Therefore in the east give glory to the Lord;
    exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel,
    in the islands of the sea.

3)    Therefore God exalted Jesus to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name

4)    At the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth

Every tongue acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord,
    to the glory of God the Father.
