Completing the work that we have received in the Lord

2 Tim 4:5

⁵ But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and discharge all the duties of your ministry

Col 4:17

¹⁷ Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.”

Eph 4:11

¹¹ So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, ¹² to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up ¹³ until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    We would have to complete the work that we have received in the Lord

2)    We would have to do the work of an evangelist and discharge all the duties of God’s ministry

3)    Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, ¹² to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
