17 Take the helmet of salvation and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Heb 4:12
12 For
the word of God is alive and
active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the
thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Acts 7:38
37 “This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise
up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’[h] 38 He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with
the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our
ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us.
1 Pet 1:23
23 For you have been
born again, not of perishable
seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word
of God.
We learn the following from the above verses
1) Take the helmet of
salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God
2) For the word of God is
alive and active. Sharper
than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul
and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the
heart.
3) Moses received the
living words and passed on to us
4) For we have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through
the living and enduring word of God.
