we are to forgive our offenders or any one sinned against us

we are to forgive our offenders or any one sinned against us

2 Cor 2:7

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

Gal 6:1

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Eph 4:32

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Col 3:13

13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    We are to forgive our offenders or any one sinned against us

2)    Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, we who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently.

3)    We are to carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

4)    Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

5)    Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of us has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave us.

We are to put on the virtue of love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
