we are to forgive
our offenders or any one sinned against us
2 Cor 2:7
5 If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved
all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. 6 The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. 7 Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive
sorrow.
Gal 6:1
Brothers
and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you
also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you
will fulfill the law of Christ.
Eph 4:32
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each
other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Col 3:13
13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a
grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
