Love keeps no records of wrongs

1 Cor 13:5

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Job 14:16, 17

¹⁶ Surely then you will count my steps
    but not keep track of my sin.
¹⁷ My offenses will be sealed up in a bag;
    you will cover over my sin.

Pro 10:12

¹² Hatred stirs up conflict,
    but love covers over all wrongs.

Pro 17:9

⁹ Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
    but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

1 Pet 4:8

⁸ Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  Love keeps no records of wrongs

2)  God counts our steps and does not keep track of our sins

3)  God’s love covers over all wrongs

4)  Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
    but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends

5)  Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins
