We are to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

We are to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

1Pet 2:2
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Mt 10:16

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues.

Rom 16:19

19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  We are to rid ourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind

2)  Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it we may grow up in our salvation

3)  We are to be shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves
