God comforts
us
2 Cor 1:4
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all
comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those
in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Isa 49:13
13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Isa 51:12
12 “I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass,
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,

Isa 66:13
13 As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
so will I comfort you;
and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
2 Cor 7:6, 7
6 But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming but also by the
comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep
sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.
We learn the
following from the above verses
1) God comforts us, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with
the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
2) For the Lord comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
3) As Lord is our comforter, we are not to
worry or fear about the human beings that give us trouble
4) As a mother comforts her child, so will
God comfort us
5) God comforts the downcast and
comforts His children
