God has delivered us from a deadly peril

2 Cor 1:10

¹⁰ He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,

PSALMS 33:22

²⁰ We wait in hope for the Lord;
    he is our help and our shield.
²¹ In him our hearts rejoice,
    for we trust in his holy name.
²² May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
    even as we put our hope in you.

Eph 6:10-20

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Acts 19:20

¹⁹ A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.^[c] 20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    God has delivered us from a deadly peril

2)    We wait in hope for the Lord;
    He is our help and our shield.

3)    Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

4)    People feared God and repented in this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.
