We have been
saved by God’s grace
Eph 2:5, 8
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead
in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it
is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
John 5:24
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and
believes him who sent me has
eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to
life.
Acts 15:11
6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question. 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed
them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that
the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able
to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they
are.”
We learn
the following from the above verses
1) God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead
in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
2) For it is by grace we have been saved, through faith—and this is not from ourselves, it
is the gift of God
3)
Whoever hears
word of God and believes Him who sent Christ has
eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to
life.
4)
Peter
was addressing the apostles and elders and reminding them that they saved by
the grace of God
