We did not know God, when we were slaves to those who by nature are not Gods

 Gal 4:8

⁸ Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.

Rom 1:28

²⁸ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

1 Cor 1:21

²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Cor 15:34

³⁴ Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.

1 The 4:5

³ It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; ⁴ that each of you should learn to control your own body^[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, ⁵ not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;

2 The 1:8

⁸ He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    We did not know God, when we were slaves to those who by nature are not Gods

2)    Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

3)    For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

4)    Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God

5)    Each of us should learn to control our own body^[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, ⁵ not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God
