Do not let yourselves
be burdened by yoke of slavery
Gal 5:1
It is for freedom that
Christ has set us free. Stand
firm, then, and do not let yourselves be
burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Mt 23:4
2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell
you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them
on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger
to move them.
Gal 2:4
4 This matter arose because some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. 5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that
the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.
We learn
the following from the above verses
1)
Do
not let yourselves be burdened by yoke of slavery
2)
We
were sometimes enslaved by the false teachings
3)
We
were sometimes enslaved by accusations from fellow believers and did not
realize Christ set us free from all the past wrong doings
