Our help is in the name of the Lord

Psalm 124:8 (Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth)
                8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
1 Sam 17:45(David went against the philistine in the name of Lord and God gave him victory)
                45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
Deut 20:1(God is with us to help us)
                1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.
2 Chr 13:12(God is with us; he is our leader)
                12 God is with us; he is our leader. His priests with their trumpets will sound the battle cry against you.
2 Chr 14:11(Asa told Lord that He is going against enemies in the name of the Lord)
                11 Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, “LORD, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. LORD, you are our God; do not let mere mortals prevail against you.”
2 Chr 32:8(When we realize God is with us to help us, it helps us gain confidence)
            8 With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

Psalm 20:7,8(we trust in the name of the Lord to rise up and stand firm)
                7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
                8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
Heb 11:32-34(When people trusted in God’s name, God delivered them)
                32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.
We learn the following from the above verses
1)      Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth
2)      David went against the philistine in the name of Lord and God gave him victory
3)      God is with us to help us
4)      God is with us; he is our leader
5)      Asa told Lord that He is going against enemies in the name of the Lord
6)      When we realize God is with us to help us, it helps us gain confidence
7)      we trust in the name of the Lord to rise up and stand firm
8)      When people trusted in God’s name, God delivered them
