Pray so
that we may live a peaceful life in all godliness
1 Tim 2:2
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we
may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and
holiness.
1 Tim 4:7, 8
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather,
train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has
value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the
life to come.
1 Tim 6:3, 5,
6, 11
3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does
not agree to the sound instruction of our
Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4 they are conceited and
understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and
quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5 and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who
have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
6 But godliness with contentment is
great gain.
11 But you, man of God, flee
from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith,
love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the
faith.
2 Tim 3:5
5 Having a form of godliness but
denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Tit 1:1
Paul, a servant of God and an
apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their
knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2 in the hope of eternal life
