For everything
God created is good and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with
thanksgiving because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer
1 Tim 4:4
4 For everything God created is good, and
nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and
prayer.
Gen 1:10,
12, 21, 31
10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the
gathered waters he called “seas.” And
God saw that it was good.
12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according
to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it
according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
21 So God created the
great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that
moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to
its kind. And God saw that it was good.
31 God saw all that he had made, and
it was very good. And there was evening, and there was
morning—the sixth day.
Rom 14:17, 18
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking,
but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to
God and receives human approval.
We learn the following from the above verses
1) For everything God created is good
and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving because it
is consecrated by the word of God and prayer
2) God saw all
that he had made, and it was very good.
3) For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking,
but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ
in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.
