Paul
and Barnabas risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus
Acts
15:26
25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with
our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts
9:23-25
23 After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the
Jews to kill him, 24 but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city
gates in order to kill him. 25 But his followers took him by night and lowered
him in a basket through an opening in the wall.
Acts
14:19
19 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was
dead. 20 But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back
into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.

Cor 15:30
29 Now if there is no resurrection, what will those
do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are
people baptized for them? 30 And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every
hour? 31 I face death every day —yes, just as surely as I boast about you in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
We learn
the following from the above verses
1)
Paul and Barnabas risked their lives for the name of our Lord
Jesus
2)
Some Jews in Damascus conspired to kill Paul by keeping a close
watch on the city gates day and night.
3)
Some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium stoned Paul, dragged him
outside the city thinking he was dead. But disciples had gathered around him,
he got up and went back to city.
4)
We do face challenges in our life and endanger ourselves every
hour for our boasting in Christ Jesus our Lord
