Isa 66:1, 2

This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne, 
    and the earth is my footstool. 
Where is the house you will build for me?
    Where will my resting place be?
² Has not my hand made all these things, 
    and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.

“These are the ones I look on with favor:
    those who are humble and contrite in spirit, 
    and who tremble at my word. 

We learn the following from the above verses

1)   The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth.

2)   The creator of the heavens gives breath and life to people on earth

3)   We should turn from the worthless things to the living God

4)   To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.

5)   God’s favor is with those who are humble and contrite in spirit and tremble at His word.
