God
has led Israel out of Egypt with mighty power
Acts
13:17
17 The God of the people of Israel chose our ancestors; he made
the people prosper during their stay in Egypt; with mighty power he led them
out of that country;
Ex
6:6, 7
6 “Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of
the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I
will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. 7 I will take you as my own people, and I will be
your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke
of the Egyptians.
Deut
7:6-8
6 For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on
the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.
7 The Lord did not set his affection on
you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you
were the fewest of all peoples. 8 But it
was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he
brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from
the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
We
learn the following from the above verses
1) God brought
us out of slavery with His mighty power
2) God redeemed us with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of
judgment.
3) God took us
as His own people and He is our God.
4) God
delivered us from the yoke of sin and slavery
5) God loved us
and kept the oath He swore to our ancestors.
