Cornelius
prayer and gifts to the poor have become a memorial offering before the Lord
Acts
10:4
4 Cornelius
stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.
The angel answered,
“Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.
Psalm
20:3
3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept
your burnt offerings.
Mt
10:42
42 And if anyone gives
even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly
I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”
Mt
26:13
12 When she poured this perfume on my body,
she did it to prepare me for burial. 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is
preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory
of her.”
We learn the following from the above
verses
1) God remembered
Offerings of the Cornelius and his gifts to the poor
2) May God remember all our sacrifices and accept
our burnt offerings.
3) Whoever
honors or helps His disciple will certainly receive their reward
4) Woman
honored Jesus by pouring the perfume on Jesus.
