It
is good for us not to conform any longer to the pattern of this world
Rom
12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Pet 1:14
13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in
ignorance.

Cor 1:20
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the
philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

Cor 2:10
10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have
forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of
Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us.

John 2:15
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[d] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father
but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
We
learn the following from the above verses
1) It is good
for us not to conform any longer to the pattern of this world
2) It is good
for us not to conform to the evil desires we had when we lived in ignorance
3) Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? It is better for
us to listen and obey His word
4) Forgiving
others for their mistake and not take revenge on others will help us lead a
life of victory and Satan might not outfit us
5) It is good
for us not to love the world and or anything in the world like the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life
