God calls us into His kingdom and glory

1 Th 2:12

¹¹ For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,¹² encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

2 Tim 1:9

⁹ He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 

Heb 9:15

¹⁵ For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

1 Pet 2:9

⁹ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 

2 Pet 1:10

¹⁰ Therefore, my brothers and sisters,^[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, ¹¹ and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  God calls us into His kingdom and glory

2)  God has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace

3)  For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance

4)  We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that we may declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.

We should make every effort to confirm our calling and election to receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ
