Praying for forgiveness of sins

Acts 8:24 (Simon pleaded Peter to pray for him)
            24 Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.”

Ex 8:8(Pharaoh requested Moses and Aaron to pray for him and his people)
            Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

Num 21:7(People requested Moses to pray for them so that they can be forgiven and delivered from snakes)
            The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

1Ki 13:6(The king requested the man of God to pray for him so that his hands may be restored)
            Then the king said to the man of God, “Intercede with the Lord your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored.” So the man of God interceded with the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored and became as it was before.

Jer 42:2 (The army officers requested Jeremiah to pray for people of Israel)
            Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah[a] son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest approachedJeremiah the prophet and said to him, “Please hear our petition and pray to the Lord your God for this entire remnant. For as you now see, though we were once many, now only a few are left. Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.”

We learn the following from the above verses

1)     Request to pray for forgiveness of sins
2)     Simon pleaded Peter to pray for him
3)     Pharaoh requested Moses and Aaron to pray for him and his people
4)     People requested Moses to pray for them so that they can be forgiven and delivered from snakes
5)     The king requested the man of God to pray for him so that his hands may be restored
6)     The army officers requested Jeremiah to pray for people of Israel
