Whoever looks to the son and believes in Him shall have eternal life

John 6:40, 47, 54, 68

⁴⁰ For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

⁴⁶ No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. ⁴⁷ Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. ⁴⁸ I am the bread of life.

⁵⁵ For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. ⁵⁶ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

We learn the following from the above verses

1)      Jesus said “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him

shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

2)      No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.  

Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.

3)      Simon Peter answered Jesus, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
