If we make every effort to confirm our calling and election, we will not stumble and will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom

2 Pet 1:11

¹⁰ Therefore, my brothers and sisters,^[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, ¹¹ and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:2

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. ² The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 

1 John 2:25

²⁴ As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is what he promised us—eternal life.

1 John 3:15

¹⁵ Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    If we make every effort to confirm our calling and election, we will not stumble and will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom

2)    The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

3)    We also will remain in the Son and in the Father and this is what he promised us—eternal life.

4)    Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
