we will receive our praise from God for our motives of the heart

we will receive our praise from God for our motives of the heart

1 Cor 4:5

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

Gal 1:10

10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

1 The 2:4

On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

1 Pet 3:4

Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  we will receive our praise from God for our motives of the heart

2)  Servants of Christ will not try to please people

3)  We speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

4)  The unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit is of great worth in God’s sight.
