We are God’s temple

We are God’s temple

1 Cor 3:16

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

1 Cor 6:19

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

2 Cor 6:16

16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will live with them and walk among them,
and I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Eph 2:21, 22

21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Heb 3:6

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  We are God’s temple and God’s Spirit dwells in our midst

2)  Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in us, whom we have received from God

3)  For we are the temple of the living God, as He lives with us and walk among us

4)  In God we are built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit

We are God’s house and Christ is faithful to us
