Let
us behave decently and not in dissension and jealousy
Rom
13:13
13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing
and drunkenness, not in
sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
Lk
21:34
34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with
carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the
face of the whole earth.
Gal
5:20:21
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord,
jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live
like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Eph
5:18
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled
with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and
songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Pet
4:3
Therefore,
since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude,
because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their
earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in
debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
We learn the following from the above verses
1)
Let us behave decently and not in dissension and jealousy
2)
Be careful not to be weighing down with the anxieties of life. For it will come on all those who live on the
face of the whole earth.
3)
Those who do the acts of
the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God
4)
Be filled with the spirit and always gives thanks to God for
everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
5)
For we are not to live the rest of our earthly lives for evil
human desires, but rather for the will of God
