People can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven

People can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven

Mk 3:28

28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.

Mk 11:25, 26

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Lk 1:77

76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
    for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,

77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
    through the forgiveness of their sins,

78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
    by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    People can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven

2)    When you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

3)    John will be called the prophet of the Most High and he will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him (Zachariah’s prophecy on John)
