If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them and if they
repent, forgive them.
Luke 17:4
3 So watch yourselves.
“If your brother or
sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. 4 Even if they sin
against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I
repent,’ you must forgive them.”
Luke 23:34
34 Jesus
said, “Father, forgive them, for they
do not know what they are doing.”[c] And they divided up his clothes by casting
lots.
Luke 24:47
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the
Scriptures. 46 He told them,“This is
what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise
from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached
in his name to all nations, beginning
at Jerusalem.
John 20:23
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace
be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am
sending you.”22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive
the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you
do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Acts 2:38
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every
one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you
will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 The promise is for you and your children and for
all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
We learn the following from the above verses
