Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Rom 4:7

“Blessed are those
    whose transgressions are forgiven,
    whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.

2 Cor 2:7, 10

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.

10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Eph 1:7

In love he[b]predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

2)    Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.

3)    We should forgive our fellow believers and should comfort them

4)    In love he[b]predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—  to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

5)    In Jesus we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us.
