God gives us rest for He has been good to us

Psalm 116:7

⁷ Return to your rest, my soul,
    for the Lord has been good to you.

2 Chr 20:30

³⁰ And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.

2 Chr 14:6, 7

⁶ He built up the fortified cities of Judah, since the land was at peace. No one was at war with him during those years, for the Lord gave him rest.

⁷ “Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah, “and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

1 Chr 22:18

¹⁸ He said to them, “Is not the Lord your God with you? And has he not granted you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hands, and the land is subject to the Lord and to his people. 

We learn the following from the above verses

1)     God gives us rest for He has been good to us

2)     The kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.

3)     The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.

4)     Our Lord is with us and He grants us rest
