There will be terrible times in the last days

There will be terrible times in the last days

2 Tim 3:1

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

2 Tim 3:2, 3, 4

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

1 Tim 4:1

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

2 Pet 3:3

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

1 Tim 3:3

Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect.

 Psalm 25:3

No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
    who are treacherous without cause.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    There will be terrible times in the last days.

2)    People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God

3)    The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

4)    Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

5)    No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
    who are treacherous without cause.
