Understanding the will of
the Lord
Eph 5:17
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s
will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled
with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and
songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 12:2
2 Do not conform to
the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Col 1:9
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We
continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the
Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way
1 The 4:3
3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should
avoid sexual immorality;4 that each of you should learn to control your own
body[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God
