Living as children of light

Eph 5:8

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light

John 8:12

¹² When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Lk 16:8

⁸ “The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

Acts 26:18

I am sending you to them ¹⁸ to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

We learn the following from the above verses

1)  For we were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord and have to live as children of light

2)  When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

3)  We are to be more shrewd as people of light

4)  God has sent us to open others eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God so that they may receive forgiveness of sins.
