Being filled
with the Spirit
Eph 5:18
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead,
be filled with the Spirit
Lk 1:15
But the
angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife
Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many
will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He
is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.
Jud 6:34
34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him.35 He sent messengers throughout Manasseh, calling
them to arms, and also into Asher, Zebulun and Naphtali, so that they too went up to meet them.
Jud 13:25
24 The woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew and the Lord blessed him, 25 and the Spirit of the Lord
began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.
1 Sam 16:13
13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers,
and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.
