Jos 23:11

⁹ “The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you. ¹⁰ One of you routs a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you, just as he promised. ¹¹ So be very careful to love the Lord your God.

Jud 13:4, 13

² A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth. 

³ The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, “You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son. 

⁴ Now see to it that you drink no wine or other fermented drink and that you do not eat anything unclean. 

⁵ You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb.

1 Sam 19:2

Saul told his son Jonathan and all the attendants to kill David. But Jonathan had taken a great liking to David ² and warned him, “My father Saul is looking for a chance to kill you. Be on your guard tomorrow morning; go into hiding and stay there. 

We learn the following from the above verses

1)    Because the Lord your God fights for you as He promised, So be careful to love the Lord your God

2)    Manoah and his wife were instructed by the angel of the Lord on how to bring up the child God gives them

3)    Jonathan warned David to be on guard against his father, as he was trying to kill him
