God is the builder of everything

Heb 3:4

⁴ For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.

Mt 16:18

¹⁸ And I tell you that you are Peter,^[b] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades^[c] will not overcome it. 

1 Cor 14:12

¹² So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.

Psalm 127:1

¹ Unless the Lord builds the house,
    the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
    the guards stand watch in vain.

1 Cor 3:10

¹⁰ By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. ¹¹ For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

We learn the following from the above verses

1)     God is the builder of everything

2)     Gates of Hades will not overcome the church built on the rock by God

3)     We should try to excel in those gifts that build up the church

Unless the Lord builds the house,
    the builders labor in vain.
