19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Mt 19:23(When money is not our priority, we would be able to concentrate on Godly things)
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.
1 Tim 6:9, 10, 17(Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires)
9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. (For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil)
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
(We have to put our hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment)
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
1 John 2:15-17(The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life will pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever)
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
We learn the following from the above verses
