A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.

A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.
Mark 6:4(Prophet is honored everywhere, except in his own town)
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”
Lk 4:24(no prophet is accepted in his hometown)
24 “Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown.
John 4:44(Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country)
44 (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.)

Mt 13:57(Prophet is honored everywhere, except in his own town and in his own home)
57 And they took offense at him.
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”
We learn the following from the above verses
1)       A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.
2)      Prophet is honored everywhere, except in his own town – people do the work of God will not have any respect from his family.
3)      no prophet is accepted in his hometown – God’s children are not accepted by their family
        4) Prophet is honored everywhere, except in his own town and in his own home
