Watch out that No one deceives you
Mark 13:5(We should not deceived by false claims)
5 Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 6 Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.
Jer 29:8(we should not let the prophets and diviners deceive us)
8 Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.
Eph 5:6(we should not let anyone deceive us through empty words)
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
2 Th 2:3, 10-12(we should not let anyone deceive us in any way about the Lord’s coming)
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
(Wicked deceives those who are perishing)
10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
1 Ti 4:1(we should not follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons)
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
2 Ti 3:13(evil doers and imposters will go from deceiving to being deceived)
13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
1 John 4:6(We should be able to recognize the spirit of truth and spirit of falsehood)
6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
We learn the following from the above verses
1) Watch out that No one deceives you
2) We should not deceived by false claims
3) We should not let the prophets and diviners deceive us
