We do have such a high priest who serves
in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set by the Lord
Heb 8:2
Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high
priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, 2 and who serves in the
sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up
by the Lord, not by a mere human being.
Heb 8:6, 10
6 But
in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of
which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the
new covenant is established on better promises.
10 This is
the covenant I will
establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
1 Cor 9:18
17 If I
preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply
discharging the trust committed to me. 18 What then is my reward?
Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so
not make full use of my rights as a
preacher of the gospel.
We learn the following from the above
verses
1)
We do have such a
high priest who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set by the Lord
2)
The new covenant is
established on better promises
3) This is
the covenant I will
establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
4) If I
preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply
discharging the trust committed to me. What then is my reward?
Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so
not make full use of my rights as a
preacher of the gospel.
